After the cold nights of Mount Kenya, we decide to reheat on the coast of Kenya at Lamu and Shela.

| Shela has a longstanding Moslem cultur. Over the centuries lots of different styles of mosques developed on the island of Lamu. |

| There are nearly no cars, these are the transportation means. Running on human or donkey power. |

| Asphalt has been brought to extent the runway of the airport. Meanwhile it leaks on the pier and flows into the sea! |

Leaving Lamu: we were 1h early, but the company had rescheduled the flight 1h earlier, without us knowing! They were already taxi-ing out when we arrived! What a luck! They came back for us.

From Lamu we headed back to Nairobi. Once there we had to say goodbye to our dear friend Katrin. She was going back to Switzerland and we took a flight back to our beloved bicycles in Daresalam.
There are a mere 5'500 km left to capetown!
