Sailing to Zanzibar

Back from Kenya, we have the incredible luck to be sailing with our host to Zanzibar and back. 4 days on the sea and a visit to Stonetown. Although we need some time to get rid of our sea sickness, we enjoy our time very much!

Dhow between Daressalam and Zanzibar: may they be sailing for a long time to come.

Getting ready for the night.

Stonetown sea front.

Dhows: the masters of the sea.

Stonetown: door

Modern meets old.

This fruit stinks (really!), but...

... tastes quite good!

Sailing isn't always a piece of cake.

Back "home" we get ready for the remaining 5'500 km (really just a piece of cake, now!): there are about 7 holes on three wheels to be fixed.

It's hard to leave this little paradise for the road!

  1. Hi there!
I guess you are now somewhere else, but if you still stay on Zanzibar Archipelago, let me know! I am now in Moshi, and soon in Tanga. From there I'm going to find a boat to Pemba, then Zanzi, then Dar.

    Wish you tailwinds!
